Kung Fury – Street Rage

Position: Senior animator at Hello There.

This project is a true underdog story. Funded by a kickstarter campaign the film was released on may 28th 2015. A tribute to the 80s and its over the top action movies. Hello There got the contract to a retro looking arcade game to be released on every major platform. I worked on the arcade game creating animations and game art and it was a blast to see everything come together in the final product.

Another big task for me was to create the lyrics video featuring True Survivor sung by David Hasselhoff and the release trailer for the game. A fellow artist created a tool and custom artwork so I could direct and record most of the video from inside the game capturing the true essence of the game. On other more contemporary projects you might need to tone down certain effects in order to make the trailers more pleasant to the viewer. On this project however it was more like “Push it a little further, make it more VHS. Make it more 80s”. Always fun to be able to go bananas in the post production department…

The Taekwondo Game – Global Tournament

Position: Senior animator at Hello There.

This game was the first we did at Hello There that relied on motion capture animation. I was in charge of recording and directing the movements for the game prototype. This was before we had all the game mechanics planned out so the movements had to be general in length and execution. After a day of shooting we had about 50-60 moves to go through and prepare for implementation.

I was also responsible for the various trailers. For the release trailer i had an idea of showing the fall of a drop of sweat but in reverse, portraying the fight from two angles.

Save a Rhino

This cute game with a big heart aims to raise the awareness about illegal hunting of rhinos and elephants. I created the release trailer for this game as well as the in game animation where all animals dance to the music of Avicii.

Zombie Potatoes Extended

Position: Senior animator at Hello There.

The Zombie spuds are back in this extended version of the game Zombie Potatoes. It’s an advergame for the chips brand Estrella. The first edition of the game became so popular that we got the opportunity to expand on the already successful idea.

My role in this production was animating cinematics, animating in game cycles for both the Hero and some of the baddies. I was also responsible for rigging a handful of the characters seen in the game.
